    Let’s begin by providing the definition of the coronavirus. According to the CDC it is defined as follows:

    • A novel coronavirus is a new coronavirus that has not been previously identified. The virus causing coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), is not the same as the coronaviruses that commonly circulate among humans and cause mild illness, like the common cold.
    • A diagnosis with coronavirus 229E, NL63, OC43, or HKU1 is not the same as a COVID-19 diagnosis. Patients with COVID-19 will be evaluated and cared for differently than patients with common coronavirus diagnosis.

    We are in a global heatwave, the temperatures have been excessive in Texas, Japan and the UK to name a few.

    Today is a perfect way to celebrate and to cool off on National Vanilla Ice Cream Day. Vanilla Ice Cream is one of the favorite flavors. The Library of Congress has Thomas Jefferson’s handwritten copy of his Vanilla Ice Cream recipe.

    Today is National Pecan Pie Day.

     

    The Native Americans used pecans more than 8,000 years ago according to the Archaeological evidence found in Texas.

    The Native American Quinipissa and Tangipahoa tribes introduced the pecan to the French after they settled in New Orleans. Some have stated that the French invented the pecan pie. Others have said that the pecan pie existed in Alabama in the 1800’s, but there are not any recipes to document this. The Pecan Pie is a staple of the Southern U.S.

    Texas proclaimed The Pecan Pie its official dessert in 2013. The Pecan Tree is the official tree of Texas and is also the official nut.

    This recipe highlights the GaaS Cloud grocery items.

    Tapioca is obtained from the fleshy root of the bitter cassava. It is sold in flake or flour form as the pellet pearl tapioca. Tapioca flour is widely used in place of wheat flour in Central and South America, Africa, parts of India, and the West Indies. When tapioca is cooked it becomes transparent and increases in size. Tapioca is also used to thicken puddings and soup.
